SRH all-rounder Nitish Reddy has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to replicate last season’s success in the IPL 2025 season. Despite a couple of defeats, Reddy believes the squad has the talent and determination to make another deep run in IPL 2025.
Sunrisers Hyderabad missed out on their second IPL title last year as Kolkata Knight Riders beat them in a one-sided final. However, this year, the team has faced 2 defeats in 3 games.
Regardless of the setbacks, all-rounder Nitish Reddy is backing his team to accomplish the unfinished business this year.
Nitish Reddy Backs SRH For Title Win In IPL 2025
Speaking to the media, all-rounder Reddy has stated that SRH’s focus remains on building momentum and delivering consistent performances in IPL 2025. He noted that his team is strong and well-balanced to replicate last year’s success.
"I would rate my team very highly. We had an incredible season last year, and we want to replicate that success. Our strategy is simple--playing with a free mind, maximising runs in the powerplay, and carrying that momentum into the later overs. Whether it's the top or middle order, everyone has a role to play. We're hopeful for another great season," Reddy said on JioHotstar.
He also added that he improved his game and approach to tackle quality bowlers in the IPL.
"I guess I have started understanding the bowlers better now. Just as they study my game, I analyze theirs, too. My approach will remain the same, but I will adapt to situations as required. Last year, I didn't play the first four matches, but when I did, I found Kagiso Rabada particularly challenging. When we played against Punjab, he was very expressive on that wicket, and facing him there was a tough challenge for me," he added.
SRH To Take On KKR
Kolkata Knight Riders will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in a crucial IPL 2025 clash at Eden Gardens on April 3. This is a replay of the 2024 final, but both sides are struggling this season.
KKR, under the leadership of Ajinkya Rahane, has only won 1 out of 3 games with a dramatic batting collapse against Mumbai Indians.
While that was happening, SRH began on a high note with a record 286-run score against Rajasthan Royals but lost their previous two matches to Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals. Both teams require a win to move up the table and gain momentum in the tournament.
