'Thank you, Paltan': Suryakumar Yadav Shares Heartfelt Message For MI Fans

After Mumbai Indians' (MI) loss to Lucknow Supergiants  (LSG) at Wankhede Stadium in their final game of the season, star batter Suryakumar Yadav expressed gratitude to the home fans in his social media post.

The Hardik Pandya-led team finds themselves at the bottom of the table, having won just four out of fourteen games. Suryakumar Yadav, who initially missed some matches for MI in the IPL, made a strong comeback.

However, despite his efforts, it wasn't sufficient to turn the tide in MI's favor.

"A season where things didn't go our way, but we keep our heads high, ready to report for national duty Thank you, Paltan, for your unwavering support, always," Suryakumar Yadav wrote on X.


LSG beats MI in the last game

Winning the toss, MI elected to field first, opting to send LSG in to bat. KL Rahul's fifty came at a slow pace, but Nicholas Pooran's phenomenal batting performance compensated for it.

Pooran smashed 75 runs off just 29 balls, took the visitors to a formidable total of 214-6 in 20 overs. In the absence of Bumrah, it was Thushara who lead the MI attack, claiming three crucial wickets.

Despite a promising start provided by Rohit Sharma, MI failed to capitalize on it. Rohit Sharma's innings of 68 runs from 38 balls, possibly his last for MI, set a strong foundation. 

However, the rest of the batters couldn't match his performance, except for Naman Dhir, who delivered a sensational performance towards the end. 

Naman Dhir remained unbeaten on 62 runs from just 28 balls, providing some late fireworks for MI.
