The virtual knockout between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings turned out to a last-over thriller as RCB managed to qualify for the playoffs by a whisker. 

CSK needed 17 off the final over to qualify and MSD with a six on the first delivery almost sealed the deal, but Yash Dayal made a brilliant comeback and the scenes after RCB's win showed what the game meant for both the sides.

On one side, Virat Kohli along with other RCB players roared in delight and congratulated each other with Virat Kohli embracing captain Faf du Plessis with a warm hug. 

MS Dhoni, on the other side was left shell-shocked after the loss in the dug-out and though he did not show much emotions as he normally does, the pain was evident on his face.

Talking about the match, CSK won the toss and elected to bowl first but RCB came out with intent and smashed 218 on the board. In reply, CSK got off to a poor start, but Rachin Ravindra played well and then Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni took the match to the last over, but Yash Dayal showed his class and took RCB to the playoffs of IPL 2024.
