Pakistan's recently resigned Director of Cricket, Mohammad Hafeez, who stepped down from his role yesterday with sudden surprise, has come out in public and revealed the details of the massive controversy brewing inside the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Hafeez, who handed the reigns of Pakistan's side after their dismal show in the World Cup 2023, saw his contract getting over within about two months of his joining after being promised four years of tenure.

A former all-rounder who was once a force to reckon with posted on X about his agreement being cut short after the arrival of the new PCB chairman.

"I always Prioritise and represented Pakistan with dignity and Pride. I accepted the new role as a Director pcb with great passion to make positive reforms but Unfortunately my designated tenure which was offered by PCB for 4 years was cut short for 2 mnths on the account of New chairmanship. Best wishes for Pakistan cricket future,"

He further went on to accept his responsibility for not being able to lead the side well as they suffered hammering defeats in Australia and New Zealand.

However, the major talking point from the whole message is that he is looking to expose PCB's wrongdoing on cricketing and non-cricketing levels, which is actually the reason why they were unable to perform well.

"As always, I foremost take responsibility and put myself accountable for all my executions in my given time and will accordingly reveal all the cricketing and other amateur non cricketing facts which ensue bad performances. Stay tuned…"

It will now be quite interesting to see how PCB or Hafeez himself follow up on this. Either the board's inside details will be out soon, or Hafeez will have to face the brunt of this bold move.
