To the delight of cricket fans across the globe, the ninth season of Pakistan Super League is all set to commence on February 17, Saturday. Two formidable outfits, Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United will cross swords against each other to set the tone for a cracking tournament. 

Regarding Lahore Qalandars, the defending champions will miss the services of ace spinner Rashid Khan, who has been ruled out of the tournament due to injury. Furthermore, veteran Zimbabwean all-rounder Sikandar Raza will likely miss the tournament opener due to his ILT20 commitment with Dubai Capitals.

Experienced Pakistani opener Fakhar Zaman will open the batting for Lahore alongside Mirza Tahir Baig, who was impressive with the bat in PSL last year.
