It was a day to remember for the young Sarfaraz Khan, who fought his way into the Indian side after years of toil in domestic cricket and impressed one and all with a magnificent knock of 62 before he got run out.

The 26-year-old's day was made more special by the fact that his family, including his father and his wife, were present on the occasion of his cap-receiving ceremony.

However, after the day was over, Sarfaraz was handed the phone by BCCI's social media team, and as soon as he got the hold of the phone, the right-hander realized that his younger brother Musheer Khan, who was part of India U-19's recently World Cup campaign was on the video call.

Seeing his brother Musheer, Sarfaraz supported a smile on his face, and their conversation went like this.

Sarfaraz: Musheer! Greetings Brother… How are you?

Musheer: I am fine, brother. Well played.

Sarfaraz: Thank you. Was I playing well?

Musheer: Number 1 brother. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Sarfaraz: You will also represent India one day. Look at this (shows his India cap).

Musheer: I got a little worried…

Sarfaraz: When I played the sweep shots? The field was up.

Musheer: When you top-edged the ball playing a shot to Joe Root. I was watching and the moment I saw the ball had passed the fielder, I knew it was safe.

Sarfaraz: Alright! OK, brother. I will call you once I get to my hotel room.

The moment the conversation between the two got over, Sarfaraz explained that his brother is his biggest motivation, considering their technique is similar as the younger pro helps him get back to form or any time he feels that he is not at his best.

"Musheer… whenever I struggle even a little bit with my batting, I watch his batting because our styles are similar. It felt great speaking to my brother. Half my family is here and the other half is in Mumbai at home. It was a pleasant surprise. It is a memorable and important day of my life. I thank the almighty for this."

Returning to the current game, Sarfaraz played a solid 62-run knock before he got run out during a miscommunication with Ravindra Jadeja in the middle. Currently, India have 375 on the board for the loss of seven wickets with Ravichandran Ashwin and another debutant, Dhruv Jurel, at the crease.
