Yuvraj Singh, the talismanic Indian cricketer is in talks with Delhi Capitals' owners for a head coach role in the upcoming 18th season of the Indian Premier League. According to a report from Sportstar, Delhi Capitals are keen to have Yuvraj on-board after the exit of Ricky Ponting as the franchise looks to start afresh after disappointing few seasons in the marquee league.

Yuvraj has garnered plenty of attention in recent times as a mentor of Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma, and that seems to have brought him in the radar of IPL franchises as well. 

Earlier, there were also reports that he would take over the role of head coach of Gujarat Titans after Gary Kirsten joined Pakistan, but now the new developments seem to suggest that GT are looking at other options for that role.

Sourav Ganguly To Continue As Director Of Cricket In Delhi Capitals

As far as Delhi Capitals are concerned, Sportstar report has claimed that there were initially talks of making Sourav Ganguly the new head coach. However, now the franchise seem to be keen in continuing him as Director of Cricket and he might be joined by Yuvraj Singh if the talks continue to go in a positive direction.

Rishabh Pant is currently the captain of Delhi Capitals, but a journalist recently claimed that the franchise is keen to have Rohit Sharma in their ranks. So, there are plenty of reports floating around in social media, and it would be interesting to see how Delhi Capitals shape up ahead of IPL 2025.
