The excitement within fans for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 mini-auction is at an all-time high, with the event just less than 24 hours away.

The IPL 2024 mini-auction will take place tomorrow and for the first time will be held outside India in Dubai, where as many as 333 players will go under the hammer. Tasked with changing Royal Challengers Bangalore's (RCB) fortunes, Director of Cricket Mo Bobat ahead of the auction has revealed his franchises' priorities.

Speaking in an RCB-organised Leaders Meet India, Bobat responsible for changing England's white and red-ball cricket during his 12-year stint communicated how they will target overseas fast bowlers and homegrown spinners come December 19.

Here's what Bobat said

“We have got a strong core of retaining players, and we have got a very powerful top order. Part of the decision-making that we had around our player release decisions was to try and strengthen the middle order and bringing Cameron Green was a fantastic move.

"Mohammed Siraj is a core part of what we do so supporting Siraj with some more bowling options including overseas bowling options is going to be a real priority for us moving forward. Then we have got a core of local spinners, which I think is quite strong. Some of them got some opportunities over the last year or two and they might play more leading roles moving forward.”

RCB will be captained by Faf du Plessis, and will have the likes of Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Rajat Patidar, Will Jacks, Akash Deep and Vyshak Vijaykumar amongst its ranks.

The franchise let-go of bowlers like Harshal Patel, Josh Hazlewood, Wanindu Hasaranga, Siddharth Kaul, David Willey and Wayne Parnell.
