In a bid to change their fortunes, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Quetta Gladiators have chopped and changed their management from top to bottom for the upcoming 2024 edition.

After roping in former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson as head coach, Gladiators have appointed Australia's former speedster Shaun Tait as bowling coach for the ninth edition.

Tait had recently worked with Team Pakistan during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India and is a familiar face amongst the Pakistani players.

In a statement, the 40-year-old expressed gratitude towards team owners and looked forward to working with Pakistani bowlers and head coach Watson.

Here's what Tait said

"I'd like to thank Nadeem Omar (Quetta Gladiators owner) who trusted me with the bowling group. I am excited to work with Mohammad Wasim Jr, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Amir. Some great talent there to work with alongside the great Shane Watson."

Tait has featured in the PSL as well, turning up for Peshawar Zalmi in the 2016 edition. Before Pakistan, the 2007 World Cup-winning pacer worked with Afghanistan's national side from August 2021 to December 2021 as bowling consultant.

Watson comes in place of former head coach Moin Khan has been elevated to the post of Team Director, having won the PSL in 2019.
