Individual knocks from Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya may have the day for India; however, whenever Pakistan's Shaheen Afridi had the white ball in his hand. The left-arm speedster ended his day at the office with four wickets, two of which were Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli.

After the first rain interruption of the day, Afridi brought his magic onto the play as he delivered two rippers and broke the Men in Blue's back by sending back Rohit and Virat in consecutive overs.

Returning in his third spell of the day, the 23-year-old got two more wickets, ending his day with figures of 4-35, as he showcased the art of swinging up-front and using variation up his sleeve to torment the Indian batting, who eventually ended on 266-10.

While talking to the host broadcaster about his bowling and the brilliant plan to rattle Rohit and Virat, Shaheen said:

"The new ball was important to get breakthroughs for us. Thanks to almighty as well. Both wickets (Rohit and Virat's) were same for me but I still feel that the Rohit's one was a good one. I enjoyed that wicket. The plans worked well for us."

Pakistan's bowling lead further appreciated Naseem Shah, who returned with 3-36, for his tight bowling, that too at a good speed.

'I am happy with Naseem's bowling: Shaheen Shah

"Naseem Shah is bowling at a good speed, 150 kmph. I am really happy with that and he does bowl really fast. There is a bit of swing and seam on offer with the rain around and the weather. New ball does swing and seam but once it stops doing it's bit, it becomes easier for batting."

For Pakistan, apart from Shaheen and Naseem - Haris Rauf bagged a couple of wickets, whereas the spinners went for ample runs. For India, on the other hand, Hardik Pandya (89) and Ishan Kishan (82) counter-attacked to pull the team out of the chaos caused by the top order.
