India’s food delivery company Zomato has once again trolled the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), this time ahead of their Asia Cup 2023 match against India.

Just hours prior to the launch of the game, Zomato took to X (formerly Twitter) and shared a hilarious screenshot of their fictitious chat with the cricket board.

Zomato mocks PCB yet again

On India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 match day, Zomato took a jibe at the latter’s prevailing political and financial crisis. Taking to X, they shared a screenshot of their fake chat with the PCB. In the chat, the prominent food delivery company can be seen asking the PCB if they want to order any pizza or burger on match eve today, to which the later responded:

“Idher zeher khane ka paisa nahi hai” (We don’t even have money to buy poison for ourselves)

Zomato’s jibe at Pakistan’s financial crisis is just their latest attempt in a series of jokes aimed at the PCB.

Back during the 2021 T20 World Cup, the multinational restaurant aggregator tagged PCB in a tweet and made the same offer ahead of India’s Group clash against Pakistan.

The following year at the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia, Zomato mocked the Pakistan team after their one-run defeat to Zimbabwe.

In the meantime, India’s top-order was rocked early by Pakistan’s new-ball attack in their much-awaited Asia Cup 2023 duel in Kandy.

Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli made their way back to the pavilion after they were cleaned up by Shaheen Afridi. Fellow paceman Haris Rauf also accounted for the wickets of Shubman Gill and comeback man Shreyas Iyer.

After 66-4, Indian middle-order batters Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan launched a counterattacking response with their 100-plus stand. Ishan scored 82 off 81, while Hardik was dismissed for 87. Shaheen Afridi picked up 4 for 35 as India were all-out for 266.
