IND vs PAK | Pakistan Pace Trio Cleans Up India For 266 After Ishan-Pandya Fifties

The much-awaited India-Pakistan Asia Cup game has lived up to its billing so far as India have managed to score 266 runs in an innings where momentum kept swinging from one end to another. Shaheen Afridi and co. started off with a bang and got rid of big guns like Rohit and Kohli early, reducing India to 66-4 in the 15th over. Ishan Kishan-Hardik Pandya notched up a 138-run stand for the fifth wicket and brought India back into the game, but once Ishan departed, India started losing wickets again and despite Bumrah's cameo, India were bundled out for 266.

Shaheen Afridi too hot for Rohit-Kohli Again

India won the toss and decided to bat first with all eyes on the battle between Shaheen Afridi and Indian top order. Indian openers managed to play out five overs cautiously but after a short rain break, Afridi roared back in style knocking over Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Haris Rauf then got rid of Shreyas Iyer and Gil too and India were reduced to 66-4. Gill struggled to get going during his painful 32-ball knock and just scored 10 before getting cleaned up by Haris Rauf.

Ishan-Hardik twin fifties salvage pride for India

India were all sorts of trouble with four down but Hardik and Ishan mixed caution with aggression nicely to take India to safer shores with a brilliant 138-run stand. Both of them scored fifties and did not let Pakistan spinners settle, as both Shadab Khan and Nawaz ended up giving runs at an economy rate of over 6.

However, Rauf got rid of Ishan in the 38th over and that triggered another collapse as India were reduced to 242-8 from 204-4. Bumrah scored crucial 16 runs to take India over 265 but Pakistan are surely the favorites going into the second half. India need early wickets and if they can do that, it could be a fascinating chase.
