Rilee Rossouw Wins Pakistani Hearts; Hails PSL Hospitality Amidst 2025 Season

South African cricketer Rilee Rossouw is impressed with the hospitality he has been receiving in Pakistan amidst the ongoing PSL 2025 season. Playing for the Quetta Gladiators franchise under the leadership of Saud Shakeel, Rossouw stated that the people of Pakistan treat visiting PSL players like “kings”.

The left-handed top-order batter made his PSL debut back during the 2017 edition of the tournament. Spending his first three seasons with the Quetta Gladiators, the cricketer subsequently played four seasons for the Multan Sultans before getting re-acquired by the Gladiators in 2024 for his second stint with the franchise.

Rilee Rossouw describes PSL hospitality in Pakistan

South African cricketer Rilee Rossouw hailed Pakistan’s hospitality efforts for overseas players during PSL seasons. The 35-year-old said recalled his experience of visiting Pakistan, and stated that the people of the cricket-crazy nation are “amazing” and “humble.”

Rossouw even claimed that the fans in Pakistan treat visiting players like “kings”. He said:

"The hospitality is second to none, it's a fantastic place to be. The country is amazing and the people are always humble - they treat you like a king."

Rilee Rossouw is playing the PSL 2025 season for the Quetta Gladiators franchise under the leadership of Saud Shakeel. In his first match of the season, the cricketer scored an unbeaten 21 from just 10 balls as the Gladiators secured a huge 80-run win over Peshawar Zalmi.

In his very next outing, Rossouw top-scored for his side with a swift 19-ball 44 with four boundaries and four sixes.

The Quetta Gladiators franchise will now face the Karachi Kings in match number eight of the PSL 2025 season. The match will be hosted by the National Stadium in Karachi, and the action will commence from 8:30 PM IST onwards on Friday, April 18.
