Shaheen Afridi is an animated character om the field and is a fiery person who loves to win at all cost. Apart from his fiery swing bowling, the left-arm seamer is also known for his wicket-taking celebration as he puts his hands up and it has become his trademark after taking a wicket.

However, during the ongoing PSL 2025 match between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators, Shaheen refused to celebrate despite picking up the wicket of Quetta skipper, Saud Shakeel.

Why Shaheen refused to celebrate?

After bowling a magic ball to dismiss Saud Shakeel, Shaheen put his right hand on his mouth and zipped it up as he refused to celebrate the wicket. The exact reason for him not celebrating is unknown, however, it could be decoded that just like IPL, PSL also impose fines on their players who celebrate unncecessarily.

As a result, despite the urge to do it, Shaheen didn't celebrate and just gave a sarcastic smile to the player.

Shaheen's Qalandars dominate Quetta

Lahore batted with aggression and courtesy of Fakhar Zaman and Sam Billings' fifties, the team from Lahore posted a commanding 219/6 in their allotted 20 overs. Billings slammed a 19-ball fifty and gave a life to their innings.

However, in reply, the Saud Shakeel led side lost two early wickets as Shaheen ran over their batters. At the moment, they have lost 4 wickets, with Rilee Rossouw fighting a lone battle as they need 131 from 68 balls.
