Indian spinner, Ravi Bishnoi has stated that he shares a great bond with new Team India coach, Gautam Gambhir. 

The duo have closely worked with each other during the Lucknow Super Giants days (IPL 2022, 2023), where Gambhir was the team mentor and Bishnoi was the lead spinner of the side.

Bishnoi has been in brilliant form as of late for India. The wily leg-spinner picked up 3 for 26 in his four overs against Sri Lanka in the 2nd T20I. His economical spell restricted Sri Lanka to a meagre 161/9.

After the game, which India won successfully, Bishnoi opened up on advice that Gambhir gave him before joining the team, and how it has helped him improve.

"I am sharing a great bond with Gautam Gambhir as he has been with LSG for two years. He has not asked me to change anything as such. He has told me to do what I am doing currently. His advice was useful to me earlier as well, and now too," Bishnoi during the press-conference.

Talking about the 2nd T20I, India elected to bowl first and the bowlers justified the decision as they restricted the hosts to a decent total. 

However, rain interrupted the contest when India came out to bat, and they eventually got a revised target of 78 in 8 overs (DLS method), which was achieved inside 7 overs.
