When you are playing in Sri Lanka, rain is never quite away from the action, and the same has been the case in the second T20I between India and Sri Lanka. It delayed the start of the game by 45 minutes, and now just when India started their run-chase, it has arrived again to halt the proceedings in Pallekele.

India are chasing 162 after their bowlers did brilliantly again in the death overs to restrict Sri Lanka to a chaseable target. They would hope that the rain fade away soon, and they get on the park quickly, as the target looks straightforward with the quality India have in their arsenal. The intensity of the rain has also reduced a bit, and let’s hope that we get the resumption soon.

There have been only three balls possible in the run-chase, all have been faced by Yashasvi Jaiswal who has scored six runs with one boundary in it.

Ravi Bishnoi, The Chief Destroyer

On the other end is Sanju Samson who has got the opportunity at the top of the order with Gill missing out. On the bowling front, Ravi Bishnoi did the major damage for India with a three-wicket haul while for Sri Lanka, Kusal Perera scored a valiant fifty.
