As the excitement builds for the highly-anticipated match between India and Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 final at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, September 28, India fast bowler Arshdeep Singh has caught everyone’s attention, not just for his bowling, but also for a cryptic social media post.
Arshdeep Singh speaks out before India vs Pakistan final
On Instagram, Arshdeep shared a video with the caption, “They say at the back and at front they stay silent.” Fans are trying to decode what he meant, especially since this comes right after a controversy involving him.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently filed a complaint with the International Cricket Council (ICC) against Arshdeep. According to reports, PCB claimed that Arshdeep made inappropriate gestures towards the crowd after India’s match against Pakistan on September 21.
They argued that this behaviour went against the ICC Code of Conduct and tarnished the spirit of the game. The matter is still under review.
Despite the off-field drama, Arshdeep has shown flashes of brilliance in this tournament. In a tense Super Over clash against Sri Lanka on September 26, the left-arm pacer gave away just two runs while picking up two wickets. His ice-cool nerves helped India seal victory on the very last ball.
However, in the main game against Sri Lanka, things weren’t as smooth. Arshdeep conceded 46 runs in his four overs but managed to take one wicket. Even so, his career graph remains impressive, he recently became the fastest Indian pacer to claim 100 wickets in T20 internationals, achieving the feat in just 64 matches.
Now, all eyes are on whether Arshdeep Singh will make it to India’s playing XI for the all-important final against Pakistan.
