The much-awaited Border Gavaskar Trophy is all set to start on 22nd of November at the Optus Stadium in Perth. It is a crucial series for both the sides in their bid to qualify for the WTC final and we can expect both teams to give their all in the five Test matches. The visitors, India are coming into this series on the back of a rare whitewash on home soil, and would be low on confidence.

To make matter worse for India, their two senior players, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are in poor form and they would need to fire if India want to register a hattrick of Test series win in Australia. There are plenty of opinions floating around from former players and fans and now Michael Clarke has stated that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma just need to freshen up and they would be back at their best.

Michael Clarke Backs Virat Kohli And Rohit Sharma To Deliver 

The former Australian skipper said that India have won the series in Australia before so they would have the self-belief in their camp. He also added that they have talent in their arsenal and for Virat Kohli he added that it is difficult to stay at the top for a long period of time.

"India know they've played well out here in Australia and they'll still come here with plenty of talent & that self-belief, but hopefully fresh. That's the key for the Indian players. Virat Kohli - you can't be that good for such a long period of time and just turn the tap off. So once he freshens up, and Rohit Sharma the same, you'll see the best of them."

Virat Kohli has a brilliant record in Australia and after a string of low-scores, he would be itching to make a statement with some big performances in tough Australian conditions.
