The much-anticipated India vs Pakistan Asia Cup 2025 Super Four clash is set to begin at 8 PM IST on September 21 in Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Pakistan enters the contest after a heavy defeat against India in the group stage, and expectations are high for them to reclaim some pride.

Reflecting on Pakistan’s disappointing performance, former India player and chief selector Krishnamachari Srikkanth did not hold back, criticizing the Men in Green and labelling them a “7th division team.”

Srikkanth Criticizes Pakistan's Low-End Show

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Srikkanth added that Pakistan no longer poses the same threat to India as in previous encounters and are much weaker in respect to the Men in Blue.

“Going forward, Pakistan should not feature with the main teams. Put them with the Associate nations and bring in others to replace them. It is a privilege for Pakistan that they are even part of such a prestigious tournament,” Srikkanth remarked.

Srikkanth further argued that the famed India-Pakistan rivalry has lost some of its significance due to Pakistan’s decline in star power and talent.

"These matches will not attract crowds anymore. This Pakistan team offers no scare factor. It is like a seventh-division side in a Chennai league," Srikkanth added.

Srikkanth Questions Hesson's Guidance

He also questioned the guidance of Pakistan’s head coach Mike Hesson, claiming that the team is being led in the wrong direction and lacks the correct motivation to perform at its best.

“Hesson will keep repeating how they are a good team and were unlucky against India, but with him in charge they will go nowhere,” Srikkanth concluded.

Despite these criticisms, Pakistan has managed to reach the Super Four stage and will be eager to bounce back in their first match of this round. Following the clash with India, the Men in Green will face Sri Lanka on September 23 in their second Super Four match.

With both teams looking to assert dominance, the India-Pakistan showdown promises high intensity and drama, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.
