Pakistan players play dirty trick against India [Source: @CallMeSheri1_/X.com]
Ahead of the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four clash, the tension between India and Pakistan reached another level. During a practice session in Dubai, Pakistani players were reportedly shouting “6-0, 6-0”, a chant that has caught the attention of cricket fans and media alike.
Since the handshake row, Pakistan have been at odds against India and the ICC, creating unnecessary drama through skipped press conferences, boycott threats and redundant complaints.
Now, ahead of the Super Four clash, the men in green stooped to a new low with highly problematic chants.
Pakistan Bring Up ‘Operation Sindoor’ In Ugly Taunt Battle
According to RevSportz, Pakistan players were chanting ‘6-0’ during their practice session at the Dubai International Stadium. The chants were certainly meant to take aim at India.
The ‘6-0’ shout is believed to reference the recent conflict following Operation Sindoor, where the Pakistan Air Force claimed to have shot down 6 Indian fighter jets.
India, on the other hand, has also claimed it shot down 5 Pakistani jets and one large aircraft during the same skirmish.
By chanting “6-0”, Pakistani players appeared to be taunting the Indian team by claiming that while their army shot down 6 Indian jets, India failed to shoot down even a single jet.
The one thing Pakistan has mastered is contradicting itself and spreading false narratives. Just a day earlier, PCB accused Suryakumar Yadav of making political statements when he dedicated their victory to the Pahalgam terror attack victims and the Indian armed forces.
If that was political, how would Pakistan explain “6-0” chants? This only escalates the ongoing controversy. Ahead of the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four match, captain Salman Agha skipped the press conference.
PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi has joined the team in Dubai and is expected to make a statement soon.
PCB Gained Nothing From Their Fight With ICC
That being said, PCB faced humiliation after they threatened to boycott the Asia Cup 2025 if ICC match referee Andy Pycroft is not banned from the tournament.
However, the ICC repeatedly rejected the complaints, and Pakistan have no choice but to be officiated by Pycroft in the upcoming Super Four clash against India. On top of that, PCB has been pulled up by ICC for shooting inside the match officials' area, which is a serious offence.
