Rishabh Pant's return to form in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 has been nothing short of remarkable, earning him a spot in the 15-member T20 World Cup 2024 squad under the leadership of Rohit Sharma.

However, his journey back to the field was far from easy, marked by a near-fatal accident in December 2022.

In a candid conversation on Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan's talk show "Dhawan Karenge," the 26-year-old batter opened up about his recovery process and the challenges he faced after the accident.

"The accident was a life-changing experience for me. When I got up after it, I wasn't even sure if I would be alive, but God was very kind to save me," Pant shared.

The road to recovery was filled with obstacles for Pant, who recounted the physical and emotional toll it took on him.

"I couldn't go to the airport because I was nervous about facing people in a wheelchair. I couldn't even brush my teeth for two months, and for six to seven months, I suffered unbearable pain," he recalled.

Despite these setbacks, Pant's determination and resilience propelled him back onto the field, where he made a significant impact with the bat.

In IPL 2024, he amassed 446 runs in 13 matches, including three half-centuries, with a remarkable strike rate of over 155.40.

Currently with the Indian team in the USA for the T20 World Cup, Pant is gearing up for India's inaugural match against Ireland on June 5.
