Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya offered condolences to the Pahalgam terrorist attack victims during the toss proceedings of the IPL 2025 match between MI and SRH. Pandya said that MI strongly condemn such cowardly attacks on innocent lives.

India is mourning the death of 26 innocent lives that were lost after terrorists opened fire at tourists present in the Pahalgam city of Kashmir. According to official data shared by the media, 26 people were brutally killed on April 22, including 2 foreign nationals.

Since the heinous crime was reported, celebrities, including cricketers, have expressed their outrage through social media. BCCI, meanwhile, decided to hold a moment of silence for the victims before the IPL 2025 clash between MI and SRH.

Hardik Pandya Pays Condolences To Pahalgam Attack Victims

During the toss of the MI-SRH game, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya took a moment to pay condolences to the terrorist attack victims. He added that MI as a franchise strongly condemn such heinous crimes on innocent lives.

"I would like to pass on the message and condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in the terrorist attack. Our team strongly condemns these acts," Hardik said.

All players will wear black armbands in this game and hold a silent prayer before the beginning of the match.

Coming back to the toss, MI won the coin flip contest and opted to bowl first. Vignesh Puthur has replaced Ashwani Kumar in the playing XI.

Meanwhile, SRH also made a significant change. Mohammed Shami has been dropped as Jaydev Unadkat makes his way in.
