Junaid Khan, one of Pakistan's heroes in their historic Champions Trophy 2017 triumph having taken eight wickets in four matches, slammed India's bowling attack for producing lacklustre performance in the recently-concluded three-match ODI series between them and Sri Lanka.

Mohammed Siraj, in particular, disappointed the ardent Indian fans the most. As Jasprit Bumrah, India's leader of the pack, was not available for the series, Siraj was supposed to lead the attack against arguably his favourite opposition.

After India's 110-run defeat to Sri Lanka in the third and final ODI in Colombo, Junaid made a bold remark on Twitter (presently known as X), saying India's bowling is nothing without Jasprit Bumrah.

“Would you agree? Without Bumrah, India’s bowling is zero… #INDvSL #SLVSIND,” Junaid Khan wrote on X.

India will now be taking a break from international cricket, as they next play against Bangladesh from September 19 onwards. There will be two-match Test series at home, followed by three T20Is before the focus shifts to another Test series at home, against New Zealand.

The series against New Zealand will begin on October 16 in Bengaluru.
