The World Cup 2023 final is done and dusted and Australia have once again displayed their big-match credentials by winning their sixth 50-Over World Cup title. They beat India by six wickets as Travis Head's century took Australia over the line. India could only score 240 while batting first and Australia despite early setbacks while batting first, were too good for India on the day.

Mitchell Marsh who smashed two centuries in the World Cup and scored 15 in the final explained the World Cup win as a pure elation. He added that he mentioned to the boys earlier that it is the hardest cricket he has played and it was even tougher than when he played against Sri Lanka at their home.

Marsh also termed the win as unbelievable and looked pretty elated to win his second 50-over World Cup title after the 2015 win at their home turf.

"Pure elation. Said to the few boys earlier, it’s the hardest cricket I have been played for. I thought going to Sri Lanka a few years back was the toughest but to be here with this group, it’s unbelievable."
