India have been the team to beat in the World Cup 2023 and came into final with a 10-match winning streak. However, they were in for another brutal heartbreak in the summit clash as the Aussies once again brought their A-game onto the table and clinched the final in a clinical fashion to take home their sixth 50-over World Cup title. Indians, both players and fans were naturally devastated, and Mohammed Siraj was seen crying as Bumrah tried to console him.

Australia were victorious when these two teams went head-to-head against each other in the World Cup final back in 2003, and they have repeated that feat once again, this time at India's home turf. The emotions were bound to be high as the 50-over World Cup final is considered as the most supreme match in the game of cricket and Aussies have clearly won this battle of nerves leaving India high and dry.

Aussies won the toss and decided to bowl first which turned out to be a masterstroke as the pitch behaved quite well in the second half and India who scored just 240 in the first innings, just could not find ways to take regular Aussie wickets. 

It all ended in another heartbreak for India as the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul were almost in tears. Siraj though could not control his tears and it will go down as one of the saddest moment in the history of the Indian cricket as they dominated all throughout the tournament but as it is said, there is no shame is long to a team that played better on the day that matters the most.
