The India Women's team headed into the ODI series with a winning momentum after the comprehensive one-off Test win against Australia women. Unfortunately, they could not carry the momentum in the ODI series and the Aussies gave them a pretty hard time, winning the series by 3-0, that too in Indian conditions.

Summing up the ODI series, the Indian team was miserable in the field department and with the bat as well. However, their bowling was good in parts as Australia managed to post high totals. Harmanpreet and company would capitalise on the upcoming T20I series and say their goodbyes to the Aussies with a 3-0 win.

In the post-match presentation, Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain of the India Women's team reflected on what went wrong during the ODI series and how they would look to improve in the coming games.

Here's what Harmanpreet Kaur said about their 3-Nil defeat in the ODI series:

"Well, I think this ODI series didn't went well. We tried our best. But some of the performances went well but some were not good. We have to think how we can improve and come back. Test cricket, when we are playing with the red ball, we had so much time to think what to do. In white-ball cricket, there is small amount of time. But we have to do well. We have to take positives from it and learn from the mistakes."

On talking about the positives from the series, Harman emphasized on the contributions of youngsters like Shreyanka Patil, who was nothing short of exemplary, whether it was bowling, batting or even fielding. She also talked about improving in the fielding department, as it helps a team win games, like the second ODI, where there were seven or eight dropped catches.

"The youngsters have been great. Especially, Shreyanka. She has been doing well. She kept bowling really well and we need someone like her to keep pushing constantly and keep getting better. We always talk about fielding. Skill-wise, we are really close. But we just have to improve in the fielding department. We know they are a great side in the fielding and we would like to improve ourselves in it. It is bothering us right now. If we do well in the fielding, it will help us win games."

The India Women's team after a couple of days will be featuring in the WT20I series, as they will look to avenge their forgettable time during the ODI series.
