Former England captain Nasser Hussain has made a huge claim about the Indian team in case Virat Kohli makes a return to the playing XI for the final three Tests of the series. Prior to the series opener in Hyderabad, Kohli opted out of the squad for the first two Tests, citing personal reasons.

After Team India walloped England in Vizag to level the series, AB de Villiers confirmed that Kohli took leave as he is expecting his second child with wife Anushka Sharma.

Nasser Hussain comments on Kohli’s possible return

Former England captain and expert commentator Nasser Hussain believes the Indian team will become even "more ruthless" if Virat Kohli makes his return for the final three Tests of the series. In his column for the Daily Mail, he wrote:

“If Virat Kohli is back for the last 3 Tests, then a more ruthless version of the Indian team can be seen on the field.”

While initial reports indicated that Virat Kohli would return in time for the third Test, Indian head coach Rahul Dravid stated that the team management will connect with the legendary batter shortly to discuss his availability for the remainder of the series.

In Kohli's absence, Team India lost the first Test at Hyderabad despite having gained a 190-run first-innings advantage at the halfway stage of the game. Rohit Sharma and co. bounced back in Vizag with a 106-run win to level the five-match series 1-1.

India and England will now collide in the third Test match, set to be hosted by Rajkot's Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium between February 15 and February 19.
