Hardik Pandya took it “up a notch” in his recent training session as he bids to attain full recovery in time for the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season. The star Indian all-rounder had sustained an ankle injury back in October last year during the 2023 World Cup.

The injury prompted Pandya to be ruled out of India’s subsequent home T20I series against Australia, the all-format tour of South Africa as well as from three home T20I games against Afghanistan in January this year.

While Hardik Pandya’s injury prompted him to miss out on a number of international assignments for Team India, the 30-year-old is expected to attain full recovery in time for the upcoming IPL 2024 season.

Back in November 2023, the cricketer was traded-in by the Mumbai Indians team management from Gujarat Titans. Pandya was also appointed as the new captain of the franchise, replacing five-time winning skipper and legendary batsman Rohit Sharma.

The IPL 2024 season is set to commence from late March onwards this year. The tournament will be succeeded by the 2024 T20 World Cup in West Indies and USA.
