It was a clinical win for India in the Asia Cup 2023 final. Fans can't believe that an ODI game did not even last for three hours. India put up a show bowling out Sri Lanka for just 50 runs in the big final.

Mohammed Siraj shines picking up six wickets in his seven-over-long spell. He also became the joint fastest bowler to pick a fifer in just 16 deliveries. India were asked to chase a total of just 51, which was done by Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill in just 6.1 overs of play.

KL Rahul, who joined the team in the middle of the tournament, had a great time when he was tested batting in the middle order. He smashed a ton against Pakistan in the Super 4s and was brilliant behind the stumps throughout the tournament.

Here's what KL Rahul said after winning the final of the Asia Cup 2023:

"I was a bit worried a couple of weeks ago, but got to play some good games against competitive teams. Scored runs and was good with the gloves, a few boxes ticked for me. Hopefully this continues for the next couple of months. I have been playing in Bangalore since four months, beautiful wickets for batting there. Happy that I got to spend time in the middle, it was a good challenge."

He was happy to be back playing for India after an injury and smashed a century in the first match after his return. He further added that it was good for him with the gloves behind the stumps as well.

On asked how he will be going ahead in the World Cup and how he is feeling about this win, KL said that, batting in the middle overs against spinners will be crucial for him and he gave credit to Siraj for his exceptional performance.

"Playing spin will be important in the middle overs in the World Cup, looking forward to that challenge. It's good to play games where bowlers get help. Siraj was phenomenal. He did the job for us, and everyone else chipped in as well. We'll take this win."
