India are the only team that are yet to be beaten in the ongoing World Cup 2023. With eight successive wins, team India will play their last league game against the Netherlands tomorrow. The only flaw that the team had was Shreyas Iyer's batting, but now he looks amazing as well. During the press conference, Rahul Dravid backed him and appreciated his abilities.

In the last two games, Shreyas Iyer has been magnificent in the last two games having scored consecutive half-centuries against Sri Lanka and South Africa. The Indian team has backed Shreyas Iyer after he came back from the injury. Despite not getting runs, the Indian team decided to stick with him and it is paying off now.

On being asked about Shreyas, Rahul Dravid, the head coach of the Indian team, talked about Iyer's initial days and how he was keeping an eye on him. He also talked about the temperament and skill set of the right-handed batter.

Here's what Rahul Dravid said about Shreyas Iyer

"His temperament stands out. I have seen him from age group cricket and his temperament is really good. He can play out in pressure situations. Look at his Test career, even in ODIs. Incredible temperament and strength of mind."

Talking about Iyer's ability to handle pressure situations, Dravid believes that he can play out well even when under pressure. Even in the Asia Cup, when the Indian team lost three early wickets to Pakistan, Iyer did not hesitate to smash a few boundaries to calm things down and put Pakistan on the back foot. Now that India are heading to the semi-finals, Iyer will be playing a crucial role in the middle order for the team.
