The former captain stood tall and finished the match with an unbeaten 59 off 51 while striking 4 sixes and 3 fours. Here is how he reflected on the game,

Reacting to how the wicket acted in New York and crediting the Dutch for their bowling efforts,

"It was a good chase in the end. The wicket played better than it did in the last game, credit to the Netherlands bowlers, they hit their areas well. They made it difficult for us to score," told Miller.

About the conversations with Stubbs in the middle after an early onslaught by the Dutch bowlers and planning the run-chase,

"We [him and Stubbs] wanted to keep the scoreboard ticking, can't go in the shell. We just tried to hit it along the ground as much as we could. We have got over the line with the tailenders before, so I had the faith in the players coming next. "

"The first ball of the 19th over went over and I thought that I had to finish it right here," concluded the 34-year-old.

Miller was adjudged as the player of the match for his crucial fifty. South Africa, with two wins in a row now find themselves as the favorites to finish the group stage at the top of the Group D. Up next, they'll face Bangladesh at the same venue on June 10.
