The former Pakistan captain and one of the remarkable batters of the modern era, Babar Azam opens up on the devastating defeat against the Zimbabwe team in the T20 World Cup 2022. Despite that loss, the Pakistan team managed to reach the final of the tournament but unfortunately, they lost the final against England. 

Recently, Babar Azam posted a thread on X, asking his fans to write down their questions and he will be answering them on the special #AskBabar. A lot of fans from round the world have asked questions and to answer them, Babar, via the space feature on X.com is answering all the questions being asked by cricket lovers. 

Babar Azam has been an immaculate gun for the Pakistan's batting lineup in all three formats of the game. His stats across formats speak for himself and how consistent he has been over the last few years at the international level. 

Here's what Babar Azam said -

"We lost to Zimbabwe in T20 World Cup 2022 and it was a very sad day for us. I got emotional and it was very heartbreaking for me."

The loss against Zimbabwe was nothing short of a huge upset in the history of cricket, considering the Men in Green were dominant with their amazing performances in the last few years. Although, Sikandar Raza played an exceptional brand of cricket and helped his team win the match with his fantastic display of spin bowling, scalping three wickets. 

The Pakistan team failed as a batting unit and on the other hand, Zimbabwe were right on top of them with their amazing bowling. Babar Azam is currently in Bangladesh, playing for the Rangpur Riders in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League.
