A few days back, the fans got to know that a defamation plea had been filed against the former Indian World Cup-winning captain, MS Dhoni by his ex-business partners. MSD breaks silence on Defamation Plea

While the wicket-keeper batter and the captain of the Chennai Super Kings gears up for another IPL season, this case has come his way as a hurdle. The Plaintiffs and the former business partner Mihir Diwakar and his wife Soumya Das have approached the high court to seek a permanent injunction and damages against Dhoni.

On the other hand, the lawyers of the cricketers further stated that a case has been filed against Mihir Diwakar and his wife for allegedly using Dhoni's name and opening up academies.

Dhoni's counsel further said that he has not received a copy of the plaint and related documents and was only informed by the high court registry about the filing of the case. Now the court has asked the Plaintiffs to send each and every document to Dhoni within three days.

Justice Singh has asked the Plaintiffs to figure out the allegation and take the necessary steps to set up the allegations for the next hearing which will be taking place on April 1, during the IPL season.

The Plaintiffs, however, seem to have figured out that they want the defendants to be restrained from damaging the reputation of the Plaintiffs in relation to the false allegations made against them for duping 15 Crores.

While Dhoni and the panel have filed a case in the Ranchi court claiming that the Plaintiffs are involved in breaching the 2017 contract and have duped around 16 crores by not honouring a contract to establish cricket academies.
