Sanju Samson Impressed By Vaibhav Suryavanshi
It was a dream moment for Bihar's Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who at the tender age of 13 acquired a ₹1.1 crore IPL contract from the franchise Rajasthan Royals in the auction that took place in November.
Vaibhav, who is a left-handed batter, has impressed one and all, especially coach Rahul Dravid before the auction. Now, on the basis of his exuberant talent and top-class batting skills, Suryavanshi is getting recognition from RR skipper Sanju Samson.
Samson, in the recent episode of Superstars series, launched by JioHotstar, expressed his admiration for the youngster who will be donning the Rajasthan jersey for the very first time.
Speaking on the episode, Samson was particularly impressed by his six hitting ability. He, as the right-hander, mentioned that the youngster was smashing sixes that were clearing the fence with ease.
RR skipper then revealed that he is ready to help him in any way possible to ensure that the 13-year-old feels comfortable staying in the camp and will be ready to provide any kind of support around the tournament.
"For me, rather than giving advice, I prefer observing first—how a youngster wants to play his cricket, what he likes, and what kind of support he needs from me. Then, I work my way around that. Vaibhav looks very confident; he was hitting sixes out of the ground at the academy. People were already talking about his power-hitting. What else can you ask for?"
Samson then emphasized the fact that providing a breeding ground is very important for the young lad, as the franchise is known to ensure that the players feel relaxed in the camp alongside helping them in providing a calm environment.
"I think he looks ready to contribute. The key is to keep him in the best shape and provide a relaxed environment, which is something Rajasthan Royals (RR) is known for. We ensure a positive atmosphere in the dressing room and back our players."
Moreover, the RR skipper was confident that they will be promoting a positive atmosphere while giving strong backing to the players.
