Rishabh Pant’s sister’s wedding has been a major talking point amongst cricket fans from the last couple of days. Several key personalities from the cricketing world have come together to celebrate the special occasion with Pant and his family in Dehradun.
Notably, Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw has also come to attend the gathering and was spotted during the sangeet ceremony on Tuesday, having a great time with MS Dhoni and Suresh Raina. The dynamic opener shared a picture with two of the veterans of Indian cricket, accompanied by their wives in his Instagram Story.

Shaw, once regarded as one of the brightest future talents in Indian cricket, is currently going through a tough period in his cricketing career. After being released by Delhi Capitals last year, the 25-year-old went unsold in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Besides, he was also dropped from Mumbai’s domestic side due to his inconsistent performance and disciplinary issues.
Nevertheless, Shaw’s presence at Pant’s sister’s wedding and enjoying a good time with esteemed former cricketers highlights the special bonds today’s cricketers share regardless of the era they have been part of. Being around legends like Dhoni and Raina is itself a huge motivation for any young cricketer to get back on track and refocus on getting the best out of himself.
Are Kohli And Rohit On The Guest List?
However, coming to the wedding, Pant’s sister Sakshi Pant is set to tie the knot with her long-time partner and London-based businessman Ankit Choudhary on Wednesday, March 12, at the ITC Hotel, The Savoy in the mountain town of Mussoorie. Pant, who recently won the Champions Trophy title with team India in Dubai, returned to his home state to take part in his sister’s wedding.
Several other guests like Gautam Gambhir, the current Head Coach of the Indian men’s team, have confirmed to arrive soon, despite recent rumors of a fallout with Pant. Moreover, captain Rohit Sharma and ace batter Virat Kohli are also anticipated to attend the wedding which will not only boost the star power at the event but also reinforce the camaraderie within the Indian cricket community.
