Rahul Dravid, the renowned head coach of Rajasthan Royals, recently made headlines with a surprise return to the cricket field, playing a club match alongside his son Anvay in Bengaluru. However, his participation was marred by an injury.

The injury sparked concerns about his availability for the upcoming IPL season. Despite this setback, Dravid's recovery is on track, with Rajasthan Royals providing an update on his status.

RR Gives Big Update On Dravid's Injury

Rajasthan Royals have provided a positive update on head coach Rahul Dravid's recovery. In a social media post, the team announced that Dravid is expected to join the squad in Jaipur on March 12, indicating that his recovery is progressing well.

Dravid, who made a surprise return to the cricket field by playing alongside his son Anvay in a KSCA Division III league match on February 23, scored just 10 runs before being dismissed. However, Dravid's participation was a highlight of the match, which Vijaya Cricket Club (Malur) won by 24 runs.

The 52-year-old cricket legend had been in Guwahati for Rajasthan Royals' pre-season camp before returning to Bengaluru for the club match. His return to Jaipur on March 12 is timely, as the Royals prepare for their IPL 2025 opener against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 23 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Rahul Dravid and Co. Aim For 2nd Title Win

Dravid's leadership will be crucial for Rajasthan Royals as they aim to secure their second IPL title under his guidance. His experience will be pivotal in shaping the team's approach, and his presence in the dugout is expected to boost the team's morale and performance.

With Dravid set to re-join the team, and Sanju Samson to lead, Rajasthan Royals fans can look forward to a strong start to their IPL campaign. The team's social media update has alleviated concerns about Dravid's injury, ensuring that he will be fully involved in the team's preparations ahead of their first match.
