India's young leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi highlighted the need for a strong comeback as the team prepares for the second T20I against Zimbabwe, following an unexpected defeat to an inexperienced Zimbabwean side.

The shocking loss has left fans and analysts alike questioning the team's form and strategies. On Saturday, India stumbled significantly while chasing a modest target of 116, eventually being bowled out for 102.

Bishnoi praised Gill's tactics despite defeat in 1st T20I

The batting lineup, which included several seasoned players, faltered under pressure, unable to build substantial partnerships.

This surprising collapse has put the focus on the Indian team's need to adapt quickly and effectively. The second match is scheduled for Sunday, and the Indian team is determined to bounce back with renewed vigour.

“We are trying our best and we need to bounce back stronger. We just need to come back tomorrow (Sunday) with a fresh mind for the second match,” said Bishnoi in the post-match press conference.

The 23-year-old Bishnoi delivered a sensational performance, claiming a career-best 4/13 against Zimbabwe. His bowling was a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing outing for the team.

Bishnoi expressed his ongoing efforts to refine his skills, saying,

“We can learn something from every match. I am trying to learn from every match and get better at what I am doing,” added the wily spinner.

Despite the setback, Bishnoi praised Shubman Gill's captaincy and lauded his decisions on the field

“Shubman’s captaincy is very good. His bowling changes were spot on, it’s a sign of good captaincy,” concluded Bishnoi.

The Indian team is now under pressure to perform, with both fans and critics expecting a more disciplined and focused approach in the second T20I.

The team’s ability to bounce back will be a test of their mental toughness and adaptability. Key players will need to step up, and the batting order, in particular, must show resilience and intent.

India will now look to level the series at 1-1, with hopes pinned on a strong comeback and lessons learned from the unexpected defeat.
