Zimbabwe's legendary cricketer Andy Flower believes India have readymade replacements for Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who recently bid adieu to T20 Internationals.

Notably, the talismanic Indian batters announced their T20I retirement following India's clinical seven-run win over South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 final.

However, Flower is confident that India have their like-for-like replacements in the shortest format.

'India have readymade replacements of retired players' - Andy Flower

During his conversation with The Times Of India, the batting great reckoned India's youngsters wouldn't let them miss the veteran duo in the shortest format.

He credited India's strong domestic structure for their solid bench strength, expecting the country to keep producing batting maestros.

"All these guys have not only shown a lot of talent in the IPL but also have the attitude required to play international cricket. There are readymade replacements for the guys who've retired, even though they are genuinely great cricketers," Flower was quoted as saying by TOI.

"The strong domestic structure in India means there will always be readymade replacements. It's certainly nothing to be scared of. India will keep producing these greats. There is always someone ready to come in," he added.
