In a recent post that is going viral on the internet of Senior journalist Deepal Trivedi, she congratulated Jasprit Bumrah, for his performance in the T20 World Cup Final in Barbados on June 29. 

She wrote down a long and emotional post in which she shared a heartfelt story when she was once Jasprit Bumrah’s neighbour.  In the final against South Africa, Bumrah played a pivotal role with the ball for the Men in Blue by picking 2/18 in four overs as he dismissed Reeza Hendricks (4 off 5) and Marco Jansen (2 off 4).

Deepal Trivedi, who claimed to have zero cricket knowledge, wrote an emotional and lengthy post about Jasprit Bumrah filled with anecdotes about him. 

In the post, she referred to him as a "legend" and highlighted his journey from being a shy child to becoming a prominent figure in Indian cricket. 

Deepal's narrative about Jasprit Bumrah's early life paints a poignant picture of struggle, resilience, and eventual success. She describes how she first held Bumrah as a newborn, which highlighted their humble beginnings and the challenges they faced. 

Despite financial hardships, Bumrah's family persevered, with his mother working long hours to support them. Deepal's bond with the family, particularly with Bumrah and his sister Juhika, grew strong as they shared their lives as neighbours and friends.

She described Bumrah's journey from a shy, reticent child to a cricketing legend known for his humility and skill.  She also explained the importance of not giving up and the strength she has attained with the experiences with Bumrah's family and their determination in the face of adversity. 

Jasprit Bumrah was awarded the Player of the Tournament for his extraordinary performance throughout the World Cup 2024. He has scalped 15 wickets in eight innings at an average of 8.26 and an economy of 4.17.
