India's first Test match against Bangladesh on September 19 at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai will mark Gautam Gambhir's first assignment as India's head coach in Test cricket. Also, it would be the first series where Gautam will be assisted by his desired support staff as Morne Morkel, too joined the group as India's bowling coach.

Ahead of the first Test, India skipper Gautam Gambhir addressed the press and spoke about KL Rahul, youngsters in the team, and working under Gautam Gambhir.

During the conference, Rohit heaped massive praise on Gambhir and also mentioned Dravid in the conversation. Sharma stated that Gambhir's coaching style is different from Dravid.

"Obviously Rahul bhai, Vikram Rathour and Paras Mhambrey were a different team, and it is only acceptable that the new support staff will bring a different perspective. The new coaching staff has a different style, but there is no problem. Good understanding is important, and I have that with Gambhir," Rohit said in the pre-match press conference.

Rohit Sharma Talks about KL Rahul's place in Playing XI

During the presser, Rohit confirmed that KL Rahul will star in all the games against Bangladesh and stated that he expects the LSG skipper to return to form.

"There are a handful of people in world cricket who had a smooth ride. A handful of cricketers had no issues all their life, it was all good. Everyone has an up-and-down career. Best thing to do is to understand yourself, expectations from yourself, and what’s needed for the team. The kind of quality KL Rahul has, everybody knows. The message to him from our side was we want him to play all the game and bring the best out of him."

Earlier, Rishabh Pant had also talked about Gambhir's coaching style and called him more aggressive.
