Harbhajan Singh took a funny jibe on the ongoing ugly spat between Gautam Gambhir and S Sreesanth ahead of the final of the Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2023 on Saturday (December 9).

As the former India spinner gears up with his Manipal Tigers to take on the Suresh Raina-led Urbanrisers Hyderabad for the trophy, he brought his humorous avatar to the fore and referred to a famous Shahrukh Khan dialogue from the film 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge'.

The 'turbanator' dead-batted the question surrounding the tussle among his two former teammates with a DDLJ reference when asked for his views about the controversy which began with on-field sledging and altercation during the tournament's Eliminator clash on Wednesday (December 6).

Harbhajan's Funny Comment On Sreesanth-Gambhir Spat

"Bade baad shehro mein chhoti chhoti baatein hoti rehti hain (in big cities, small things keep happening)," Harbhajan said during a media interaction, triggering laughs amongst the present journalist before the LLC's summit clash in Surat.

What started as mere on-field jeering has since turned into a full-blown individual war between Gambhir and Sreesanth. The former salted the wounds carried out by the latter by calling him a "fixer" during the altercation which played out in the India Capitals versus Gujarat Giants knock-out clash.

Gambhir's reference to the 2013 IPL spot-fixing scandal over an on-field argument disturbed Sreesanth, who took to Instagram to call his former India teammate an "arrogant" and "utterly classless" person.

Since then, the LLC council has also gotten involved and issued a statement declaring that an investigation has been launched into the matter. "We are underway in the process as per the contractual obligations of players and as per the Code of Conduct policy of the league," the league's co-owner and CEO Raman Raheja had said in the statement.

A legal notice was also sent to Sreesanth for the breach of contractual obligations which demanded the removal of all content posted by the ex-cricketer against Gambhir on social media.
