In a massive setback, South Africa are set to miss Lungi Ngidi in the upcoming T20I series against India, as he has been ruled out due to an ankle injury. Ngidi's unavailability has paved the way for the likes of Lizaad Williams and Ottniel Baartman, alongside Beuran Hendricks, to make it into the Proteas playing XI.

Talking about South Africa, stylish batter Aiden Markram will lead the side with a robust batting lineup studded with Reeza Hendricks, Heinrich Klaasen, and David Miller. Matthew Breetzke will likely open alongside Hendricks, while Donovan Ferreira might be preferred over Tristan Stubbs to bat in the middle order.

Marco Jansen, who recently had a stellar World Cup campaign in India, will play as the primary all-rounder. The tall left-arm pacer was pivotal in powering South Africa to the semis, scalping 17 wickets and scoring 157 runs. So, in all probability, he will open the bowling for the Proteas in this game.

Gerald Coetzee and Lizaad Williams will assist Jansen in the pace department, with the experienced duo of Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi set to play as the spinners.
