MS Dhoni was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame on June 9 alongside six other greats of the game. He became the 11th Indian player to get into the elite list, and cricketers from all over the world have congratulated the great man.
MS Dhoni Congratulated By Cricket Legends
One of those cricketers is Justin Langer. The Australian opener has often praised Indian players for their talent and grit and now in a video released by ICC, he came up with unique words of admiration for MS Dhoni. Langer mentioned that Dhoni is the all-time great and every captain in the world tries to be like MS Dhoni.
The current LSG coach also highlighted Dhoni's uniqueness and expressed that it is the reason why people fail to be like him. Langer also gave tribute to MS Dhoni, the finisher. He stated that the game is not over until MS Dhoni is at the crease, something which he has proved time and again in his long international career.
"MS Dhoni is the All Time Great, every captain wants to be like Dhoni but they can't because Dhoni is a Unique Captain, A unique Leader, A Unique man. Whenever you play against him, you know the game is not over until the Finisher he was out".
Along with Langer, the likes of AB de Villiers and Naseer Hussain also gave tribute to MS Dhoni in the same video. Dhoni is still active in the Indian Premier League but retired from international cricket in 2020. He played his last match in the 2019 World Cup while he debuted in 2004 against Bangladesh.
The likes of Matthew Hayden, Daniel Vettori, Hashim Amla, Graeme Smith, Sarah Taylor and Sana Mir have also been inducted in the ICC Hall of Fame.
