Mumbai, the reigning giants of domestic cricket, broke their eight-year spell without a title by claiming their 42nd Ranji Trophy championship. In the pivotal clash, Mumbai overpowered Vidarbha with a resounding 169-run win.

Their remarkable achievement elated Mumbai's victorious captain, Ajinkya Rahane. In this memorable moment, the commentator reminisced with Rahane about India's historic breach of the Gabba Fortress under his leadership.

Addressing the post-match press conference, Vivek Razan, famous for his iconic one-liner during India's historic win at the Gabba in 2021, reassured Ajinkya that he had not disappointed Mumbai in an amazing way.

Here’s what Vivek Razdan said

“Gabba ka ghamand toh tod diya aapne, but Mumbai ka ghamand tootne nahi diya aapne.”

Meanwhile, Ajinkya Rahane shrugged off his lean spell in the Ranji Trophy, highlighting Mumbai's glorious 42nd title victory. He reiterated his commitment to the team-first ethos that propelled them to their first championship in 8 years.

Rahane's bat wasn't exactly on fire this Ranji Trophy season, managing just 218 runs across eight matches. However, when it counted most in the final, he scored 73 runs and partnered up with young Musheer Khan for a massive 130-run partnership, rescuing Mumbai from a tough spot at 34 for 2 in their second innings.

While Rahane couldn't do much with the bat, his leadership was instrumental in Mumbai's turnaround moments this season. The vibe in the dressing room with him around was electric, especially for youngsters like Musheer, who pointed to Rahane's guidance as the secret sauce behind his stellar form this season.
