India's domestic giant Dhawal Kulkarni signed off in style, as he got rid of Umesh Yadav to script Mumbai's famous win in the recently concluded Ranji Trophy Final against Vidarbha. Chasing a daunting target of 538 runs, Vidarbha were going strong until the fall of skipper Akshay Wadkar, which triggered a batting collapse. 

Following Wadkar's departure, Harsh Dubey and Aditya Sarwate were dismissed off Tushar Deshpande before Kulkarni and Tanush Kotian shared the final two wickets to wrap things up. 

The incident occurred in the 135th over of Vidarbha's innings with Mumbai captain Ajinkya Rahane handing the ball to Kulkarni for the final breakthrough. The move instantly paid off, as the ace speedster got rid of Umesh Yadav on the third delivery. 

It was a good length delivery which came into Yadav after pitching around the middle and off stump. The seasoned campaigner tried to slog it away in the leg side, but got beaten comprehensively. As a result, the ball, uprooted his leg stump, resulting in Mumbai's emphatic victory by a whopping 169-run margin. 

Overall, Kulkarni had a game to remember, recording a sensational three-fer in the first innings. Following Mumbai's record 42nd Ranji Trophy title win, he was felicitated by the Mumbai Cricket Association.
