'Everyone Was Cheering For Me': Mayank Yadav Shares Insights On RCB Fan Base

Mayank Yadav, India's new pace sensation, scalped three wickets conceding away 14 runs in 4 overs against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 2, 2024. 

He announced himself in the cricketing world with reverberating performances and has imprinted his name in the record books because of his perfect combination of sheer pace and speed. His pace as well as good line and length have rewarded him with six wickets in just two games. 

He became the first player in the history of the Indian Premier League to win the Player of the Match award in the two matches he played. 

The 21-year-old dominated the headlines recently when he bowled 156.7 kmph against RCB in Bengaluru, and this was the record of the fastest delivery in IPL so far.  In a video from LSG's social account he said that he was applauded by the RCB's fans this moment was very pleasing for the bowler. 


Here's what Mayank Yadav commented on RCB Fans:

“I'm feeling very good. I heard RCB have a big fan base, and a loyal fan base, but after my spell, when I went to the boundary, everyone was cheering for me a lot. So, that was one thing that I liked a lot. Everyone was supporting me,” Mayank Said. 

In the debut match, LSG Speedster ended with impressive figures of 3 wickets for 27 runs in 4 overs and followed it up with 3 more scalps in his next match for LSG. 

The fans and experts were left impressed by his extraordinary speed and length as the bowler was going over the 150 kmph barrier constantly.
