"England Planned To Injure Bumrah": Kaif Accuses Ben Stokes And Co Of Dirty Tactics

It has been three days since the heartbreak at Lord's, but the fans and cricket pundits are finding it hard to move on from the narrow defeat at the home of cricket. In the latest events, former India star Mohammed Kaif has jumped onto the bandwagon and accused England stars of plotting to injure Jasprit Bumrah.

Notably, Kaif remarked that Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer were frustrated by the Indian tail, after which they resorted to bowling bouncers and looked to injure the 31-year-old.

"Stokes and Archer planned to bowl bouncers against Bumrah. If he doesn't get out, hit him on the finger or shoulder to injure him. This stays in the mind of bowlers to injure the main bowler, whom our batters find tough to bat against. This was the plan, which worked later (to get him out)," said Kaif speaking on his own Youtube Channel.

Notably, India were reduced to 112/8 in the second innings while chasing 193. When the odds were out, Ravindra Jadeja stitched a crucial 35-run ninth-wicket stand with Jasprit Bumrah, before the right-arm seamer threw his wicket away.

Bumrah To Play Manchester Test?

After the Lord's defeat, the caravan has now shifted to Manchester, where India and England will lock horns for the fourth Test at Old Trafford. The two teams will square off on July 23, and the players have a nice time off to relax and rejuvenate.

However, the focus is on Bumrah, and the biggest question is whether the right-arm seamer will play the fourth Test or not? Before the start of the series, the management made it clear that Bumrah's workload would be managed throughout the series, which led to him sitting out of the Edgbaston Test.

Meanwhile, the latest reports suggest that the right-arm seamer is available for selection for the fourth Test and will be a part of the playing XI for the Manchester Test.
