Richa Ghosh has played a pivotal role for RCB Women this season, excelling both as a wicketkeeper and batter. She displayed exceptional skills behind the stumps and made significant contributions with the bat in crucial moments.

Ghosh expressed her gratitude towards her teammate at RCB, the Australian legend Ellyse Perry, for providing valuable insights and supporting her in improving her game.

In the final against Delhi, RCB found themselves chasing a seemingly modest target. However, considering Delhi's tendency to lose wickets on this pitch, RCB opted for a cautious approach. After losing Smriti's wicket it was Richa Ghosh who stood firm alongside Ellyse Perry on the field.

Perry's extensive experience in such situations, backed by her status as a world champion, provided a sense of composure to the team. This level-headedness was particularly crucial for young Indian talents like Richa Ghosh, who possess immense skill but may struggle under pressure. Perry's presence helped steady the ship, especially after the dismissal of Mandhana.

Throughout the season, Ghosh had been instrumental in saving numerous games for RCB, and she acknowledges the significant role played by her teammate and cricketing legend, Ellyse Perry.

"It felt really nice batting with Ellyse Perry. She helped me out a lot. It was really fun batting with her. She won us matches with her batting and bowling, she is a legend," said Richa.

Richa Ghosh showcased her batting prowess throughout the season, amassing a total of 257 runs in 10 matches at an impressive average of 42.83. Her consistency was evident with two half-centuries to her name, the highest being 62 runs.  What stands out is her remarkable ability to score runs at a rapid pace, maintaining an impressive strike rate of over 141. And it was Richa Ghosh who scored the winning boundary and won RCB the first title

Perry was the top scorer of the tournament, winning the Orange Cap with 347 runs. She averaged 69.4 and scored two half-centuries. Additionally, she took seven wickets, including a remarkable six-wicket haul.
