India will shift its focus from T20s to Test cricket soon and travel to England for a five-match Test series starting on June 20. Eyes would be on seniors like Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah to script history and help India win their first series in England since 2007.
Talking about Bumrah, the right-arm seamer was India's most-valuable player in the Australia series, but is not expected to play all five matches because of workload management. In the latest events, the MI star, speaking to Michael Clarke in his podcast, opined his views on England's aggressive style of play, which is referred as 'Bazball'.
What Does Bumrah Say About Bazball?
Bumrah remarked that he finds the aggressive style of play interesting, but stated that he does not understand that style of cricket. “They’re playing an interesting style of cricket, which is interesting because I don’t really understand it too much,” Bumrah added.
Further, Bumrah expressed that he loves to play in England and stated that he loves to play with Duke ball.
“Playing in England is always a different challenge. I always love bowling with the Dukes ball. But I don’t know how much the Duke’s ball is doing right now because there’s always constant changes to the ball. But the weather, the swinging conditions. And then when the ball becomes soft, there’s always a challenge. So I always look forward to playing in England,” he added.
However, Jasprit Bumrah didn't talk about his availability for the red-ball tour and how many games will he play in England.
