In the ongoing IPL 2025 qualifier one between Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Mullanpur Stadium, Virat Kohli failed to make a mark as the former RCB captain returned to the pavilion with a run-a-ball 12. PBKS, batting first, collapsed for just 101 runs on the board as they failed to read the pitch. In reply, RCB started positively but Virat Kohli fell prey to Kyle Jamieson.

Kyle Jamieson Shocks Virat Kohli

On the 2nd ball of the 4th over, Kyle Jamieson sticked to the fifth stump line and Virat again fell for the off-stump trap, which has been his weakness for a long time. Notably, the weakness was exposed during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 where he was dismissed nine times in that series while playing the outside the off-stump delivery. Also, it is not the first time that Jamieson has got better of Virat Kohli as the New Zealand seamer also got the better of former RCB captain in WTC 2021 final.

Virat Kohli's Poor Record In IPL Playoffs

Before this match, Virat didn't boast a great run in the IPL playoffs as the right-hand batter has played 15 matches and scored 341 runs in playoffs, averaging 26.23, which features just two fifty-plus scores.

Talking about the ongoing match, at the time of writing this article, RCB are 70/1 after 6.4 overs and heading towards a comfortable win and securing a place in the final for the fourth time in the history of the league.
